Conference History
The first International Conference on Digital Manufacturing & Automation, which was held in Changsha, on December 12th, 2010, thematically concentrated on digital manufacturing, advanced manufacturing, intelligent robot and advanced agrictongulture equipment. The 1st ICDMA, was sponsored by Central South university ,Tsinghua University, Hunan Agricultural University, etc. and supported by IFTOfMM, meanwhile, the conference invited the academician Zhong Jue from Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Institute of Central South University, professor Liu Shaojun from Central South University and Tonghong.Lee, the original vice-principal of National University of Singapore jointly serving as the chairman of the steering committee, professor Sun Fuchun from Tsinghua University as the chairman of the technical committee. About 900 papers were collected, about 300 among which was accepted, and 150 or so authors attended the conference, in which, three experts were invited to give a special report:( 第一届数字制造及自动化国际由中南大学，清华大学，湖南农业大学，国际机构学与机器科学联合会等联合发起，得到国家自然科学基金委的交流基金支持，大会主题集中在数字制造与先进制造以及智能机器人和农业先进装备，大会由中南大学机电院钟掘院士担任指导委员会主席，中南大学刘少军教授及新加坡国立大学原副校长Tonghong.Lee 共同担任，技术委员会主席由清华大学孙富春教授担任，大会共收集论文约900篇，接受论文约300篇，所有论文都被EI核心检索，以及ISTP双检索，到会作者约为150人，共邀请了三位专家做特邀报告：)
- Tonghong.Lee: Recent Research and Development Advances in Precision Automation, Mechatronics, Robotics and Manufacturing
- Marco: A role of MMS and IFToMM in Technology developments
- Yangning: harvesting minerals from sea and challenging
The 2nd ICDMA was sponsored by Central South university ,Tsinghua University, Hunan Agricultural University, etc. About 1000 papers were submitted, and after strict review, 350 papers were published and 60 papers were recommended to EI and SCI, 40 papers from which have already been accepted and 20 more are still being reviewed by SCI, whose factor of influence of SCI is 0.87. The success rate of recommendation approximates to 90%. There were 80 delegates of authors attending this conference, and 2 special reports were invited:(第二届数字制造及自动化国际会议由中南大学，清华大学，湖南农业大学等单位联合举办，共收到论文约1000篇，经过专家严格审稿后共发表论文350篇，推荐EI原刊及SCI原刊共计60篇，参会代表80人，论文集已经EI核心检索，目前已经接受和发表数量为40篇，尚有20篇SCI原刊在审稿中，推荐成功率接近90%，该SCI期刊的影响因子为0.87，大会的特邀报告有2个，分别为：)
